Beyond Education is an organization and a community where individuals are supported to engage, learn and expand in the areas of life that people find most rewarding.  At the cutting edge of education in the art of living, Beyond Education is devoted to bringing Pleasure to the world.  Originally founded in 1993, under the name The Community Experience, this organization has been providing research, seminars and coaching in pleasurable living for 14 years at some of the San Francisco Bay Area’s leading transformational facilities. 

Beyond Education is distinguished by the range and inclusiveness of its subject matter as well as its radical approach to happiness and growth. Areas of life that are rarely addressed directly, such as intimacy and sexuality, are directly and openly addressed.  All the “octaves” of life are explored so that the full symphony of life can be experienced and enjoyed.

In Beyond Education’s seminars, events and coaching, the normal progressive and linear approach of seeking and searching for happiness is replaced with the actual realization of the state and condition of happiness. This realization can then inform and guide one’s life.  This simple yet radical approach relieves participants of the chronic and often frustrating approach of endlessly trying to achieve happiness through producing results, whether in their careers, relationships, sex lives or any other aspect of life.  Paradoxically, living happily and pleasurably will naturally produce far greater results in all areas of life!

 

	Erwan Davon founded Beyond Education after leading seminars for several of the world’s foremost personal development organizations.  Prior to this, Erwan was deeply engaged in Eastern Spiritual disciplines; he served as the director of a Yoga Ashram and lived in a Zen monastery. He also spent time studying, researching, and teaching high level sensuality material prior to founding Beyond Education.  This training and experience, as well as a degree in psychology, provided a foundation from which to develop an extraordinarily effective experiential style of teaching. It also provided a wide body of information to draw from. Erwan then developed the Beyond Education curriculum by emphasizing personal research into life’s most pleasurable and sensitive areas.
	In 2002, Alicia Bayer joined Erwan after graduating with a Masters in the field of Integral Psychology.  She had nearly a decade of involvement in the field of transformation from participant to facilitator, with an emphasis on supporting and facilitating women’s development.  Alicia was drawn to the “work” of Beyond Education because of the enormous difference the organization had made in her life and because of the resource it provided her to support others in the fulfillment and enjoyment of their lives.

Although Erwan and Alicia are the primary staff of Beyond Education, the organization has always been largely run through staff and volunteers drawn from the BE Community.  This creates the strong community element and provides individuals the opportunity to participate at numerous levels of involvement from occasional attendance to actual facilitation and training of others.

Restructuring one’s life for Pleasure is a key element to the ongoing, lasting and expanding value that participants report.  Beyond Education offers a curriculum format to provide an ongoing structure of support:

• The Pleasure Course / Advanced Pleasure Course - The flagship course of Beyond Education, focusing on the art of personal transformation, intimacy and sensuality.
• Coaching - Total transformation in all areas of life through weekly individual sessions.
• BEing Talks - Weekly evening events led by Erwan and Alicia that provide a fun way to maintain and enhance a pleasurable lifestyle.  For graduates and non-graduates of the Pleasure Course alike.
• Sensuality Certification Program - Our most advanced and luxurious program!  Intensive sensuality training for singles or couples done in retreat style format.
